Dear friends, 

Happy New Year! I hope the holidays have given you a moment of rest and renewal, and that you are entering the new year feeling refreshed and inspired.

As many of you know, I will be turning 80 this January, and I would be truly delighted if you would join me in celebrating this new decade of life. My birthday party will take place on Saturday  January 24, at my house from 1-6pm and it would mean so much to me to have you there.

On this occasion, I will also be opening my home for a painting exhibition—one that I was unable to hold last year. It feels especially meaningful to share my work with you now, surrounded by friends, conversation, and celebration.

Please do not bring gifts. Your presence is the greatest gift I could ask for. That said, you are very welcome to browse the exhibition and, if something speaks to you, to take one of my artworks home. As I grow older, nothing would make me happier than knowing my paintings live on with people I care about, rather than remaining with me.
